Keep close to Nature’s heart...and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean
— John Muir

My Therapeutic style is both sensitive and playful.

I hold space for deep and serious work, and I also bring lightheartedness to the therapeutic process.  I value honesty and authenticity and will almost always tell you what I'm thinking.

I offer my clients warmth, genuineness, and a commitment to understand them as deeply as I can.  Through this understanding, we both explore where the stuck points are, what they feel like, how they repeat, and how, through more expansive awareness and choice, they can shift and dissolve.

I really do believe in love as a way through pain.  And I don't mean this in a corny or cliched way but in a very practical way.  I see the immense amount of traumas, losses, and grief that the human beings around me are dealing with and I think we need to find a way to be our own allies.  Otherwise, in addition to the normal difficulties of life we are at war with ourselves constantly.  One of my favorite experiences as a therapist is to help clients learn how they can find motivation and trust in themselves without self critical or punishing thoughts.
