Craving spiritual ecstasy, we mistakenly seek material fulfillment. We chase after a phantom, and when we catch it—in the form of more money, more food, more sex, more drugs, more drinks, more oblivion—we find that we have been chasing ephemeral happiness when we should have invited lasting joy.
— Robert Johnson

What is your potential? Where do you feel alive?

All of us want to fulfill our deep innate potential as human beings, but many of us walk through the world feeling stuck. Lost in a world that does not seem of our own making, we lose our sense of choice, our sense of agency, our sense of aliveness. Perhaps even our fundamental sense of self. In that impasse, we often cannot see our true potential. The decision to enter therapy is, at its core, a decision to enter a new relationship with the self.

My style is approachable, warm, curious, and, when necessary, challenging. I draw from my training in the lineage of Gestalt Therapy, working in the ‘here and now’ to find out how we can create a new experience. I’m interested in your dreams— literally and metaphorically. We will work to see where you can learn to respond to your environment with greater freedom and choice, where you can see possibilities and turn them into actualities.

In addition to individuals, I also enjoy working with couples of all sexual orientations (LGBTQI, poly, kinky), families, and business/start-up partners using a Gestalt Systems approach, a way of working that honors both the similarities and differences in your relationship and helps find ways that you can come together to achieve your collective and individual needs. Perhaps you want to foster greater intimacy in a romantic relationship, or it may be that your goals are more strategic, as they might be in a business relationship. Perhaps they are some combination of both, as they might be in a family. Whatever you want to achieve in your relationship, I can help facilitate your goals.

My education includes an MA in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and I have also completed the year-long Interchange Counseling Institute program.

I am committed to making therapy affordable and accessible. I offer both sliding-scale rates and an initial intake session for $25, which gives us a chance to see if we are a good fit for each other.
