The biggest embrace of love you’ll ever make is to embrace yourself completely. Then you’ll realize you’ve just embraced the whole universe and everything and everybody in it

I bring me, rather than just "therapist me" into our relationship.

I offer my awareness and my genuine impressions of our contact in service of your growth. I strive to provide the opportunity for you to have a new experience in your relationship with me. Breaking old patterns in this way can be challenging. Taking the risk in the context of our supportive relationship will pay off. Change will then trickle into the rest of your relationships and robustly impact your life.

My unique combination of education and life experiences allow me to offer a genuinely non-judgmental, supportive and nurturing space in which you can become acquainted with all the many parts of yourself. I will invite you to bring into the light those aspects of yourself that you least want to present to others. Why? It is in acquainting ourselves with these disavowed parts, welcoming their voices, and entering into dialogue with all of these parts of self, that we can free up the energy we use to keep these parts hidden. That freed up energy then translates into creative and authentic expression, passion, life-force and joy!

About me:

I earned bachelors and masters degrees in psychology more than 10 years ago. After studying this very western model of psychology and working in the corporate world, I committed to a yoga practice and immersed myself in Burning Man culture, both of which helped clarify my vision for a life of service. Burning Man exemplified the importance of each individual’s unique creative expression in the world, while yoga and meditation practice have solidified in me a spiritual perspective--a felt sense of the interconnectedness and inherent meaningfulness of all that exists.

The Integral Counseling Psychology Program at California Institute of Integral Studies nurtured my passion for interpersonal relationship and awareness practice and I came to understand that within life’s inherent painful and difficult experiences exists immense opportunity for growth. I am committed to “dancing the dance” of this work in my own life. Integrity, authentic expression and turning toward challenges in life and relationship are some of the ways that I dance. Would you care to dance?

I have experience helping couples and individuals navigate:

  • Sexual abuse & childhood trauma
  • Shame & feelings of unworthiness
  • Anxiety & depression
  • Grief & major life transitions
  • Relationship & intimacy concerns
  • Unique dilemmas related to Burning Man & the festival culture
