There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophy.
— Friedrich Nietzsche

I seek to foster a safe and trusting relationship with you to help support exploration into the depths of your internal world.

It’s human nature to at times isolate ourselves and think we’re alone in our experiences. I understand that reaching out to someone may not be easy. It can feel incredibly vulnerable to share your story and to face the very things that cause you suffering. Or, perhaps you find yourself energized and excited to dive into your psyche. I will encourage you to follow the curious part of yourself that has taken a step toward therapy and self-exploration. I do hold the belief that there is a deep, intuitive knowing within all of us that directs us toward healing, truth and growth. As Rumi reminds us, “What you seek is seeking you.” My allegiance is to honoring that truth and all of the accumulating experiences that have led you to this point in your life.

Our work together is supported in the practice of being mindful and aware of what emerges in the present moment. Creating this foundation can be a powerful way to help develop a deeper sense of self-awareness and authenticity. Being where you are, not where you think you should be, is an important part of the work which allows us to move toward accepting and integrating the parts of you that make you a whole, complex person.

My approach to therapy is client-centered, holistic and feminist. It integrates elements of Humanistic, Somatic, Transpersonal and Relational therapy. It draws from my training in Gestalt, Depth Psychology and Psychosynthesis. The essence of therapy, however,  is inspired and supported by the unique relationship that we develop.

I work with: Individuals, Couples, Families, Children/Adolescents and Groups.
