“Your vision will become clear
only when you look into your heart.
Who looks outside, dreams.
Who looks inside, awakens.”
Aliss Wang, M.A., LMFT, PATP, ELI-MP
Aliss Wang is a licensed marriage and family therapist and certified psychedelic-assisted therapy provider with private practices in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. She works with individuals and couples whose lives involve responsibility, transition, or increasing complexity, offering psychotherapy that is relational, grounded, and attentive to how meaningful change takes shape in daily life. People come to her work from a range of contexts—navigating career shifts, relationship dynamics, sustained stress, or periods of personal reorientation—seeking clarity that can be lived, not just understood.
Aliss’s approach is integrative and attuned, drawing from Gestalt therapy, the Tamura Method, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy when appropriate. In addition to psychotherapy, she offers coaching when clinically appropriate, supporting clients in translating insight into practical movement and decision-making. She also serves as a trainer and facilitator in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and has contributed to MDMA and psilocybin clinical studies. Her professional roles include work with UCSF’s Translational Psychedelics Research Program, the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI), the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), the LoveYourBrain Foundation, the East Bay California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and she currently serves on the board of the Bay Area Gestalt Institute.
