During the COVID-19 pandemic, for the health and safety of all, BAGI therapists are exclusively offering virtual therapy. Virtual therapy refers to therapy that is provided via a secure video or telephone connection, rather than in person.

Therapists and clients set a regular time for sessions and meet through video-calling applications such as Zoom, FaceTime, Google Meet, Skype, Doxy or Vsee. Some therapists also meet with clients via phone calls, or through a combination of video and phone calls, based on the client’s preferences and needs.

Advantages to virtual therapy

  • Scheduling flexibility

  • Convenience

  • No commute time to and from appointments

  • Comfort in a familiar environment

  • Greater access to care

  • Better public health practices

How to Start Virtual Therapy During COVID-19?

Now more than ever, you may be considering therapy. Many of our therapists are accepting new clients and are conducting first sessions via virtual therapy.

BAGI therapists offer free consultations. We invite your questions or concerns around starting a therapeutic relationship via virtual therapy. As always, all sessions will be conducted in safe and confidential environment. All of our therapists have experience working virtually and are open to discussing the adjustment process and supporting you through it.

What Happens When We Start Meeting In Person Again?

Once it becomes safe to meet in person again, many of our therapists will resume in-person sessions at office locations throughout the Bay Area.

Others may continue to see clients exclusively online. Click the links below and/or see the “Location” section of each therapist’s page to learn which of our therapists offer ongoing virtual therapy, and which will offer an in-person option once the pandemic subsides.
